We don’t just change the lives of our patients and customers

We believe in family

Every year, Pharmascience sponsors one child or grandchild of an employee to take part in an Outward Bound personal leadership development experience — an organized outdoor adventure to be chosen by the participant, such as canoeing, hiking, trekking, or a mixed adventure (kayaking, hiking and trekking). Groups are divided by age, and instructors encourage strong and disciplined collaboration to help participants achieve their goals through informed choices.

Pharmascience encourages its employees to engage with their community by embracing a healthy lifestyle. Each year, 20 employees receive the opportunity to win a $250 sponsorship to fund sports teams in which they, their children or grandchildren are involved as players or coaches.

Pharmascience provides five of its employees’ children or grandchildren with a bursary of up to $2,500 to use towards higher education.

Each holiday season, Pharmascience and the Mélio Foundation work together to brighten up the holidays for children with motor or language impairments. Each child inserts their wish list in an envelope that adorns the Christmas tree in the headquarters’ atrium, giving employees the opportunity to pick one and give that child an unforgettable gift!

Pharmascience provides up to $500 to 10 employee’s child or grandchild for their participation in a Summer Camp.

This program is part of Pharmascience’s desire to contribute in the development of future generations.

We are involved in our community

Through this program, Pharmascience gives one employee the opportunity to take leave in order to participate in a charitable mission in a developing country. The Leave For Change program gives employees a unique experience in terms of personal and professional development, allowing them to carry out a short international co-op assignment.

Each year, in honor of our co-founder Morris Goodman’s birthday, Pharmascience collaborates with a range of local community organizations to organize a special day during which more than 400 employees give of their time to make a difference in our community.

Each year, Pharmascience rewards five employees for their volunteering efforts by donating $1,000 to the organizations they are affiliated with. We renamed the program to commemorate Rosalind Goodman, who devoted her life to philanthropy, volunteering, and the wellbeing of her community and everyone around her.

We participate in fundraising events

Health partners international of Canada (HPIC)

For over 20 years, the company has been working with Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC) to help the organization increase access to medications. To this day, Pharmascience Inc.’s total donations of essential medications exceed $70 million.

Centraide is our main cause. Each year, all Pharmascience employees work together to raise funds for Centraide to ultimately help local organizations. We are proud to report that over the past 15 years, we have collectively donated more than $1 million to Centraide, including $200,000 in 2019, which makes us the largest donor in Montreal’s pharmaceutical sector.

Every year, our team of employees travels to Mont Tremblant to take up a sporting challenge consisting of a two-day ski relay to raise funds for the betterment of children’s health and wellbeing.
